Shipping & Delivery Policy

Policy Summary

Nordin Industries Australia Pty Ltd supply formwork systems, formwork accessories, structural timber, and non-structural timber products to the Australian construction industry. This Shipping & Delivery Policy governs all placed orders including website at www.nordins.com.au.

We are committed to reliable, transparent freight for both trade contractors and retail buyers. This policy sets out delivery timeframes, freight charges, special product handling requirements, and your rights in the event of damaged or lost goods in transit.

APPLIES TO
All placed orders including through www.nordins.com.au, consist of formwork panels, accessories, structural timber, formply, and all other products listed on our website. Trade account orders are subject to the same freight terms unless a separate freight schedule has been agreed in writing.

Product Categories & Freight Notes

Nordin Industries Australia ships two primary product families, each with specific freight handling requirements. Review the notes for your product type before placing an order.

Prop & Shoring Systems
Adjustable steel props, heavy-duty shoring frames, slab shores. Bundled steel freight — tail-lift or forklift required.
Formwork Accessories
Tie rods, wing nuts, coil tie bolts, coil ties, cone spacers. Ships as standard freight in cartons or on pallets.
Structural Timber — Beams & Joists
F17 & LVL bearers, H3/H4 treated pine, hardwood beams. Delivered on pallets or bundled packs. Forklift recommended.
Plywood & Sheet Timber
Formply, structural plywood. Delivered flat on pallets. Must be kept dry; weather protection during transit applies.
Other Metal Materials
Z-bars and star pickets are bundled, stillages, steel boxes and cages require forklift.
Accessories & Hardware
Standard carton freight. Signature on delivery required.
HEAVY & OVERSIZED ITEMS
Formwork panel systems, frames, and full timber packs are heavy freight items. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure adequate unloading facilities (forklift, crane, or sufficient labour) are available at the delivery address. Failed deliveries due to inadequate unloading will be recharged at cost.

Shipping Zones

The following delivery timeframes apply to standard in-stock items dispatched from our Taren Point, NSW warehouse. Timeframes are estimates in business days from the date of dispatch and are not guaranteed unless an express service has been selected and confirmed.

ETAs commence from the dispatch date, not the order date. Orders placed after 12:00 pm AEST, on weekends, or on public holidays are dispatched the following business day.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY
NSW NSW and national public holidays affect dispatch and carrier collection schedules. During peak construction periods (December–January and Easter), add 1–3 additional business days to all ETA estimates. We will notify you of any significant delays via email.

Freight Rates

Freight costs are selected at checkout. If the client is unsure about the alternative, it is advised to contact Nordin Industries to get information. In the case of selecting a smaller size transport alternative, only the products that can fit to the selection will be delivered, and the rest of the products needs to be picked up from the Nordin Warehouse. The rates below are indicative guides for greater Sydney area and can be changed.

How Your Order Is Processed

All orders placed on the Nordin Industries Australia website follow the workflow below. We dispatch Monday to Friday, excluding NSW and national public holidays.

  1. Order Placed Online
    Orders placed via the Nordin Industries Australia website before 12:00 pm AEST on a business day are processed that day. Orders after 12:00 pm are processed the following business day.
    Cutoff: 12:00 pm AEST
  2. Payment Confirmed
    Orders are held until payment is fully cleared. Credit card payments are typically instant.
  3. Pick, Pack & Quality Check
    All formwork items and timber products are checked against the order, inspected for transit damage, and packed to Australian freight standards. Steel and heavy items are banded or placed in stillage (extra charges apply).

  4. Delivery
    The delivery is arranged via Nordin Industries trucks according to the schedule and the delivery dates are shared with clients.

  5. Delivery & Sign-Off
    Delivery requires a signature. If no one is present, the delivery cannot be completed. The truck needs to be unloaded within one hour reaching to the site. Any additional hour after one hour grace period will be charged separately.

CLICK & COLLECT — TAREN POINT NSW
Click & Collect is available from our Taren Point warehouse. Select Pickup Location under delivery at checkout. Orders placed by 10:00 am AEST are typically ready the same business day. You will receive an email confirmation when your order is ready — do not attend until notified. Bring your order confirmation and photo ID.

Special Conditions

Certain product types and delivery scenarios are subject to conditions beyond our standard freight arrangements. Please review the relevant section before placing your order.

Incorrect Delivery Address
It is the customer's responsibility to provide a complete and correct delivery address at the time of ordering. If a consignment is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, redelivery freight will be charged at the current carrier rate. Address corrections after dispatch may incur an intercept fee.

Unloading Delays
It is the customer's responsibility to organize the unloading and arrange the required vehicles (cranes, forklift, etc.). Upon arriving to the site, unloading of the truck should commence within one hour. Any delays to start unloading of the vehicle more than one hour will be charged as standby fee.

Claims & Exceptions

Damaged Goods in Transit
If your order arrives damaged, you must:

  • Note the damage clearly on the carrier's delivery docket before signing.
  • Photograph the damage — both the packaging and the product — before opening fully.
  • Report the damage to us at sales@nordins.com.au on the day of delivery.
  • Retain all original packaging until the claim is resolved.
DO NOT REFUSE DELIVERY
Do not refuse a damaged delivery unless the product is clearly and catastrophically destroyed. Refusing delivery extends claim resolution time and may complicate carrier liability. Instead, accept the delivery, note the damage on the docket, photograph it, and contact us immediately.

Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that does not match your order, contact us within 3 calendar days of delivery at sales@nordins.com.au. Include your order number, a description of the item received, and a photograph. We will arrange collection and correct dispatch at no cost to you.

Stock Availability

Nordin Industries Australia maintains stock of standard formwork accessories, common timber sizes, and formply grades. However, demand fluctuations and supply chain conditions may result in some items being on backorder.

Backorder notification: If any item in your order is on backorder, you will be notified by email within 1 business day of placing your order. You may choose to proceed with a partial shipment (in-stock items dispatched immediately, backordered items to follow), wait for the full order, or cancel the backordered item for a full refund of that line.

Liability & Statutory Rights

Nordin Industries Australia's liability for loss or damage arising from freight and delivery is limited to the value of the goods as invoiced. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from delayed or damaged delivery, including but not limited to site downtime, labour costs, or project delays.

Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Consumer guarantees apply automatically to products purchased through our website.

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Under the ACL, products must be delivered within a reasonable time and match the description provided. If a delivery failure is due to our error, you are entitled to a remedy. This policy operates in addition to, not instead of, your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

For disputes not resolved through our customer service team, you may contact the NSW Fair Trading or the ACCC for further assistance.
